Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw University volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a three-set win over Oberlin College (25-7, 25-20, 25-17).
The first set was a dominant showing of DePauw's ability to attack the net. The Tigers finished with an impressive .579 team hitting percentage and just one error, winning the set 25-7.
In the second set, Oberlin came out with a chip on its shoulder; however, DePauw kept its cool and pulled ahead to an early 12-6 lead. The Tigers garnered an eight-point lead at one point in the set; still, the Yeowomen would not be put away easily a second time and fought their way back to a 20-25 set loss.
With just one more set to finish the match, the Tigers started the set with a 12-1 point run and never looked back. Thanks to a strong team performance, DePauw finished the match with a dominant 25-17 final set.
The Tigers continue NCAC play with its final home game of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 22, against Wittenberg. The Match time is set for 7 p.m.
