Sept. 25, 2019 (Terre Haute, Ind.)- The DePauw University volleyball team win on the road in a four-set match against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (25-16, 17-25, 25-19, 25-17).
The Tigers took the first set against the Fightin' Engineers with ease, cruising to a 25-16 set win, thanks to 17 kills and only giving up four errors in the set.
The roles were quickly reversed; however, in the second set. Due to a string of DePauw errors, the Tigers fell behind the Fightin' Engineers early in the set and couldn't find a way to claw its way back into the set.
Learning from the frustrations of the second set, the Tigers came back to the floor hit with efficiency. With just two errors in the set and a hitting percentage of .364, DePauw held off a Rose-Hulman attacking surge to take set three 25-19.
In the fourth set, the Tigers continued to play smart and fly around the court. Recording a hitting percentage of .344, with three service aces in the set and recording just three errors, DePauw finished strong with a 25-17 set win.
The Tigers are back on the road to start conference play at Hiram College on Saturday, Sept. 28, with a match start time of 1 p.m.
