Peters Selected as NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient

Greencastle, Ind. - Senior Suzanne Peters (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) has earned the NCAA's prestigious Postgraduate Scholarship

Peters, a Google Cloud Academic All-America® selection, was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Third Team after earning North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors.

Peters is majoring in kinesiology and has been named to DePauw's Dean's List all seven semesters.

She helped the Tigers to an 18-11 overall record, a second-place finish in the NCAC and the program's fifth appearance in the NCAA postseason in the last six years. Peters finished her career with 1,438 kills which ranks fifth in school history. Her 443 kills this season were the 10th highest single-season total in school history.

Peters is one of 42 student-athletes and just 21 females among all three NCAA divisions who earned the honor for the fall of 2018-19. The one-time non-renewable scholarships of $10,000 each are awarded each fall, winter and spring to 21 men and 21 women each season for a total of 126 scholarships each academic year.

Since the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program was created in 1964, 26 DePauw student-athletes have won the award. A complete listing is available here
