DePauw Moves to 13-8 after Five-Set Win at Hanover

Hanover, Ind. - DePauw hit .318 in the decisive fifth set and topped Hanover 3-2 (25-20, 23-25, 26-24, 23-25, 15-9). The Tigers improved to 13-8, while the Panthers dropped to 12-12.

Morgan Stearley paced the Tigers with 17 kills, while Suzanne Peters added 16 as DePauw held a 62-61 edge in kills with Ally Low assisting on 53 of those kills.

Peters recorded a team-high four aces and Meaghan Etling and Stearley adding two each as DePauw had nine to the Panthers' six. Jenna Purichia paced the defensive effort with 35 digs and Sera Little had six blocks, while Stearley added five.

DePauw outhit the hosts, .227-.146 with the Panthers leading in blocks 11.0-10.0.

The Tigers return to North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday, October 18, with a 1 p.m. match at Oberlin.
