Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw hit .303 and recorded 10 service aces on the way to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-22) win over visiting Franklin. The Tigers moved to 8-7 with its fourth straight win and sixth in the last seven matches. Franklin dropped to 6-10.
The Tigers came out strong, hitting .395 in the first set and .520 in the second as they finished with a 47-31 edge in kills while outhitting the Grizzlies, .303-.186.
Suzanne Peters led DePauw with 15 kills, while Liv Hartman followed with 10. Grace Filbrun assisted on 40 of the kills, while Peters led with four aces followed by Jenna Purichia with three and Filbrun with two.
Purichia paced the Tigers with 14 digs and Meaghan Etling had three block assists.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, September 29, with a 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference match at Wooster.
