Tigers Split Saturday Matches to Go 3-1 for the Weekend

Greencastle, Ind. - After dropping a four-set match to top-ranked Calvin, DePauw blanked Earlham and finished with a 3-1 record at the DePauw Tigers Invitational. The Tigers moved to 5-7 with the split.

Calvin topped DePauw 3-1 (25-21, 25-27, 25-22, 25-22) and outhit the Tigers, .327-.257 with a 65-53 edge in kills.

Morgan Stearley led DePauw with 15 kills and hit .314. Ally Low's 42 assists led the way as did Stearley's three aces. Jenna Purichia topped the Tigers with 61 digs and Corri Rusk had five blocks.

DePauw's win over Earlham came by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-19. The Tigers hit .379 for the match with Suzanne Peters leading with 12 kills and a .478 hitting percentage. Stearley followed with 10 kills and a .400 hitting percentage. Low had 25 assists with Purichia finishing with 11 digs and Rusk with four blocks.
