Tigers Drop Pair to Nationally-Ranked Teams

Bluffton, Ohio - DePauw wrapped up tournament play at Bluffton with a pair of losses to 18th-ranked Ohio Northern and 23rd-ranked Thomas More. Ohio Northern topped the Tigers 3-2 (25-17, 14-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-6) and the Saints won 3-1 (25-23, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23). The Tigers dropped to 2-6 with the losses.

Suzanne Peters totaled 21 kills against Ohio Northern, while Ally Low had 49 assists. Jenna Purichia had a team-high 21 digs, while Morgan Stearley recorded four blocks. DePauw outhit the Polar Bears, .320-.229, but Ohio Northern had 12 service aces to the Tigers' three.

Peters posted 24 kills in the Thomas More match while Low had 47 assists and Purichia 29 digs. DePauw outhit the Saints .247-.190, but Thomas More had 10 aces to the Tigers' three.

The Tigers host the DePauw Invitational, September 14-15.
