Gambier, Ohio - DePauw improved to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference after today's 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-22) win at Kenyon. The Tigers extended their win streak to seven and the shutout was their sixth consecutive. Kenyon dropped to 12-9 overall and 2-3 in the NCAC.
DePauw got out to a fast start after hitting .514 in the opening set with 18 kills and no attack errors. The Tigers broke free from a 19-19 tie in the second set by winning four of the final five points. In the final set, DePauw grabbed a 4-0 lead, but Kenyon came back to take an 8-7 advantage. The Tigers regained the lead at 9-8 and never relinquished it.
Suzanne Peters and Morgan Stearley led the way with 13 kills each, while Liv Hartman added 10. Keegan Kollias led the Tigers with 38 assists, while Peters had two of the team's five service aces. Kollias and Peters each had 14 digs, while Kaley Keating chipped in 13. Peters had a team-high four blocks (1 solo, 3 assists).
The Tigers held a 49-27 advantage in kills for the match and outhit the Ladies, .287-.114.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, October 17, when it hosts top-ranked Wittenberg in a battle of the two unbeaten NCAC teams.
