Tigers Unable to Hold Lead against Panthers; Drop Two Saturday Matches

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw had Hanover on the ropes in its first match of the day, but the Panthers won the final three sets and the Tigers wrapped up the day with a 3-0 loss to Muskingum. The Tigers are now 7-5 on the season.

The Tigers grabbed the opening two sets against Hanover by 25-23 and 25-18 scores and held a 22-21 lead in the third before the Panthers won the last four points and then took the final two sets by 25-23 and 18-16 scores. 

DePauw outhit Hanover .267-.218 with the Panthers holding a 75-71 lead in kills. Morgan Stearley paced DePauw with 20 kills and Liv Harman added 18, while hitting .364. Keegan Kollias assisted on 57 of DePauw's 71 kills with Emily Beckes and Kaylee Nichols each recording 17 digs. Haley Bitzer and Stearley each had eight blocks as the Tigers totaled 15 for the match.

Muskingum outhit DePauw .279-.159 and had a 49-37 advantage in kills. Stearley had 14 kills and 13 digs for the Tigers, while Kollias assisted on 30 kills.
