DePauw Finishes Fifth at Birmingham-Southern

Birmingham, Ala. - Led by top-three finishes in six events, DePauw totaled 58 points and finished fifth among seven schools at Birmingham-Southern's Hilltop Classic. Alabama-Huntsville won with 199 points and Birmingham-Southern was second with 123.

Emily Wilson was second in the high jump (1.60m/5-3) as was Riley Hickman in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:42.64). Also competing in the steeplechase was Andrea Nunez-Garcia who was third (13:55.57).

Natalie Gruszka turned in a pair of third-place finishes in the 800 meters (2:28.32) and in the 1,500 (4:59.50). Mackenzie Jones was third in the 400 hurdles (1:17.45), while Ellie Reece was fifth in the 400 meters (1:06.65).

Rounding out DePauw's individual scorers were Meghan Hennessey who was sixth in the 5,000 (19:19.12) and Joslyn Fox seventh in the 800 (2:35.38).

DePauw's 4 x 400 relay was third in 4:35.12.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 7, when they host the DePauw Invitational at Noon.
