Four Second-Place Finishes Lead Tigers at Classic

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by second-place finishes in four events, DePauw totaled 41 points and finished seventh among nine schools at the DePauw Indoor Classic. Illinois Wesleyan won with 130 points.

Pia Ocvirk finished second in the 1,000-meter run (3:28.08) as did Meghan Hennessey in the 5,000 meters (19:16.90). The Tigers picked up eight points in the 3,000 meters as Haley Thompson was fifth (11:11.24), Tori Flowers sixth (11:19.90) and Andrea Nunez-Garcia eighth (12:08.38). Rachel Higson turned in an eighth-place performance in the 800 meters (2:37.72).

DePauw finished second in the 4 x 400 relay (4:34.91) as well as in the distance medley relay (14:05.46).

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 24, at Anderson University's Fred Wilt Invitational.
