Hilton Head Island, S.C. - DePauw wrapped up play on Hilton Head Island with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over 35th-ranked Carleton to improve to 6-7. The Knights dropped to 8-2.
The Tigers led 2-1 after doubles play as the number-one team of Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder defeated Madeline Prins and Kristina Conrad by an 8-7 score and the third tandem of Amanda Showalter and Erin Friedrich topped Sonya Romanenko and Elizabeth Yim, 8-2.
The Knights captured singles wins at the first, second and fourth spots to take a 4-2 lead. Showalter then defeated Conrad by a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-1) score before Lily Cameron evened the match with a 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9) victory over Faith Yim at the sixth position. The match then came down to fifth singles where Ali Bush topped Taylor Thulson 6-2, 6-4.
DePauw travels to top-ranked Emory on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match.
