Tigers Fall to DII Foe Indianapolis

The DIII 16th ranked Tigers lost to the DII 27th ranked Greyhounds of Indianapolis on Tuesday 7-2.

The Tigers took one lone win in both singles and doubles. The match started off with a 2-1 deficit in doubles play with the Tigers capturing a win at three doubles. Maddie Lee and Sarah Wilder defeated Selenay Heper and Paige Olsen 8-4.

The Greyhounds then took in order No. 5 singles, No. 2 singles, No. 4 singles and No. 1 singles. However, freshman Nicole Pamphilis broke that run with a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles.

The match ended when Ali Bush lost a hard-fought No. 3 singles match to Allie Smith 7-6, 6-0.

The Tigers drop to 7-9 overall with the loss, while Indianapolis improves to 8-5. Next up for the women, they host Ohio Wesleyan in an NCAC matchup on April 15.
