Berkley Named NCAC Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the Second Time This Season

Greencastle, Ind.- DePauw women's soccer player Alex Berkley (Evanston, Ill./ Evanston Township) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, for her role in last week's wins over Ohio Wesleyan and Allegheny.

Berkley scored three times across two games, with two of the goals being game-winners. Her first goal was in the Tigers shutout over the Battling Bishops, where she drilled a penalty kick in the back of the net.

On Saturday's game against Allegheny, Berkley had a foot on every goal. She assisted fellow senior forward Shali Kumar to put the Tigers up 1-0 and then switched roles with Kumar to tie the game late in the second half to force the game into overtime. Her third and final goal of the weekend was set up by Jillian Snow, who booted the ball across midfield to find Berkley for a header and the winning goal.

The Tigers' final regular-season game is Saturday, Nov. 2, at Kenyon College, with a game-time set for 1 p.m.
