Greencastle, Ind. - As the game-ending 10-second countdown was underway, Wooster's Erica White took a pass from Claire Davis and knocked in the game-winning goal with six seconds left as the Fighting Scots grabbed a 2-1 double overtime win over DePauw in the North Coast Athletic Conference opener for both squads. DePauw dropped to 2-6, while Wooster improved to 5-1-3.
After a scoreless first half, Wooster's Krissy Blanchard scored at 59:02 on Muira Wiley's assist. DePauw's Shaili Kumar evened the count at 63:20 on an assist from Gail Enright. Wooster nearly ended the game in regulation, but a shot that crossed the line was just after time expired.
Wooster held a 14-10 edge in shots including 7-6 on goal. The Tigers had the advantage in corners, 5-3, and DePauw totaled 24 fouls to Wooster's 11.
Mia Manney recorded five saves for DePauw with Molly Hutter toaling five stops for Wooster.
DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, September 26, when it travels to Illinois Wesleyan.
