Clarke's Six Goals Lead DePauw to NCAC Win; Tigers Post First Shutout in Program History

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by Grace Clarke's six goals, DePauw posted the program's first shutout as it defeated Hiram, 20-0. The Tigers improved to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, while the Terrriers dropped to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

The Tigers scored three times in the opening 1:41 on the way to a 12-0 halftime lead as Clarke scored all six of her goals in the first 18:12 of the contest.

In addition to her six goals, Caleigh Ranjo and Sophie Hensley each added three scores. Ellie Strauch assisted on three goals.

The Tigers held a 16-4 edge in draw controls as Clarke led with seven. Emily Howard paced the Tigers with three caused turnovers and shared the team lead with Clarke as each had five ground balls.

DePauw had a 35-3 advantage in shots including 28-1 on goal with Kathryn Hopkins recording one save for DePauw and Hiram's Gillian McMaster totaling eight.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, April 3, with a 4 p.m. game at Hanover.
