Tigers Fall to 0-3 after Loss at Mount Union

Alliance, Ohio - Host Mount Union scored the game's first 12 goals and went on to defeat DePauw by a 17-2 score. The Tigers dropped to 0-3, while the Purple Raiders improved to 4-1.

Mount Union scored 10 in the first half and added two more in the opening three minutes of the second before the Tigers got on the board with a Grace Clarke score off of a free position shot with 23:35 left. Erica Rapelje added the Tigers' other score with 15:48 remaining.

Danielle Rohrman paced the Purple Raiders with six goals and Ashley Bernardi added four.

Kathryn Hopkins recorded eight saves for the Tigers, while Mimi Curtis had two and Molly McGinnis five for Mount Union.

Mount Union led in shots, 31-10 and ground balls, 17-10 with DePauw totaling 25 turnovers to the Purple Raiders' 20.

DePauw returns to action on Thursday, March 7, at Earlham in a 7 p.m. contest.
