#4 DePauw Opens Spring Season with Win; Balding Earns Medalist Honors

Perry Park, Ky. - DePauw, ranked fourth in the latest Division III coaches' poll and sixth by Golfstat, shot a two-round 616 and won Thomas More's Saints Invite by 15 strokes over Pikeville.

Playing as an individual, Emily Balding took home medalist honors by shooting a 143 including a two-under 70 in the opening round.

Larisa Luloff topped the Tigers' lineup with a 147 (73-74), while Rachele Miller finished with a 154 (77-77) and Tarinni Sameer Kakar shot a 156 (76-80). Anna Foley finished with a 160 (80-80) and Layla Ahmadi rounded out the lineup with a 165 (86-79).

In addition to Balding's performance as an individual, Danielle Smith (78-81) and Allison Miller (81-78) each shot 159 followed by Paige Sanfelippo (82-78) at 160 and Cristal Chan (82-85) and Adrienne Pemberton (86-81) each at 167.

The Tigers return to action on March 30-31 at the Perry Park Spring Fling.
