Greencastle, Ind. - Grace Smith (Fr., Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) has earned North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week honors after leading the Tigers to a 7-1 overall record last week and a 6-0 NCAC mark.
Smith batted .429 in eight games as the Tigers' starting shortstop while collecting nine hits in 21 at-bats. She drove in six runs and slugged .619 after collecting a double and a homer. She also was successful on both steal attempts.
For the week, 25th-ranked DePauw opened with an NCAC sweep at Wittenberg, split a doubleheader at Millikin before winning two each from Oberlin and Kenyon in NCAC contests. The Tigers are 27-11 overall and became the first team to finish NCAC play with a perfect 16-0 record.
The Tigers travel to Transylvania tomorrow for a 5 p.m. doubleheader.
