DePauw Drops Series Finale at Emory

Atlanta, Ga. - Trailing 3-2, Emory scored four in the bottom of the fifth and held on for a 7-5 victory over DePauw in the final game of the three-game series. DePauw moved to 1-2, while the Eagles are now 2-2.

The Tigers scored one in the second before Emory took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third. DePauw regained the lead with single runs in the fourth and fifth, but Emory took the lead for good in the fifth with four. 

Run-scoring singles in the sixth by Jade Mejia Wick and Mac Jones cut the Emory lead to 6-5, but the Eagles tacked on an insurance run in the bottom half of the inning.

Kate Geary had two of DePauw's eight hits, while Jenna Wilson had two of Emory's five.

Cami Henry dropped to 0-2 in the circle with Emory's Madison Schaefer moving to 1-0 and Toko Miller collecting her first save.

DePauw returns to action on March 16-17 when it faces WashU and Wartburg in games played at WashU.
