Greencastle, Ind. - Following a season in which she led DePauw with 10 homers and 43 RBI, DePauw rising junior Lauren Godden (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) has been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-America Second Team.
Godden, the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, was second on the team with a .395 batting average while totaling a team-high 62 hits. In addition to her team-best home run and runs batted in totals, Godden paced the Tigers with a .650 slugging percentage. Her 10 homers this season were tied for third in school history and her 19 career blasts are sixth.
DePauw's fourth individual to earn NFCA All-America honors, Godden joins Megan Soultz (2007,2008,2010), Rachel Gill (2008) and Jen Kosinski (2009).
The Tigers finished the season with a 31-18 record and finished as runners-up at the Bloomington, Ill., regional.
