DePauw Finishes Third at NCAA Regional; Christian is Runner-Up

Shelbyville, Ind. - Behind Paul Christian's second-place performance and two others in the top 15, 27th-ranked DePauw totaled 142 points and finished third at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional at the Blue River Cross Country Course. Calvin won with 56 points and Otterbein was second with 95.

Christian covered the 8,000 meters in 25:06.1 which was 14.1 seconds behind the winning time of 24:52.5 by Ohio Northern's Ian McVey. Joining Christian on the all-region team was Zach Batt who finished 10th in 25:18.3 and Cole Martin who was 15th in 25:28.8.

Spencer Miller was 49th (26:16.0) followed by Aaron Worley in 66th (26:29.6), Zane Williams in 89th (26:44.)) and Miles Main in 117th (27:06.1).

The Tigers will now await a possible at-large invitation to next Saturday's NCAA Division III Championships which will be announced tomorrow.
