School-Record Relay Highlights Tigers' Performances at Anderson

Anderson, Ind. - A record-setting 4 x 200-meter relay highlighted DePauw's performances at Anderson University's Fred Wilt Invitational in the final tuneup before next weekend's North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.

The Tigers' winning relay finished in 1:31.59 which eclipsed the mark of 1:31.91 set last year. DePauw also won the 4 x 400 relay in 3:28.16.

DePauw's other first came in the mile where the Tigers finished 1-2-3. Zach Batt won in 4:20.97, while Cole Martin was second in 4:21.69 and Polo Burguete third in 4:23.94.

The Tigers also claimed three top-five finishes in the 3,000 meters led by Spencer Miller in second (9:00.57), Samuel Meyer (4th; 9:24.50) and Aaron Worley (5th; 9:28.63).

Also finishing second was Nick Meszaros in the 5,000 meters (15:38.65) and Jordan Booker in the 400 (51.20), while Johnny Miller was fifth in the 400 (52.27).

Satchel Oskins turned in a fourth-place showing in the 60-meter hurdles (9.02), while Luke Patty was fourth in the 200 meters (23.07) and Chase Wright was eighth (23.33).

Finishing seventh in the 60 meters was Jacob Avenaim (7.21) and eighth in the 800 meters Jonah Jerabek (2:06.00).

Nate Baker turned in a pair of eighth-place finishes in the weight throw (14.62 m) and the shot put (12.84m) 

DePauw competes in the NCAC Indoor Championships, March 2-3 at Wabash College.
