Tigers Advance to NCAC Semifinals after 5-2 Win over Wooster

Indianapolis, Ind. -  DePauw advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference semifinals following a 5-2 quarterfinal win over Wooster. The Tigers improved to 10-9, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 7-13.

DePauw took a 2-1 lead after doubles with wins at the second and third spots as Wyatt Metzger and Billy Louiselle topped Nathan Devereux and Joaquin Abos Amo by an 8-5 score and Alex Bertolini and Will Sultan topping Jesse DeWitt and Nebyou Minassie, 8-2. Wooster's top tandem of Austin Hanna and Alon Liberman were 8-3 winners over Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan.

The Tigers picked up three singles wins as Metzger defeated Liberman by a 6-1, 6-1 score at number two with McClanahan winning over Hanna 6-4, 6-2 at the third spot. DePauw's Louiselle was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Minassie. Wooster's singles win came at the fourth position with Devereux defeating Bertolini 6-0, 6-3.

Third-seeded DePauw faces second-seeded Denison tomorrow at 1 p.m.
