Delaware, Ohio - DePauw moved to 8-9 overall and 2-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play following a 9-0 win at Ohio Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops dropped to 14-12 overall and 2-2 in NCAC competition.
The Tigers began with a sweep of doubles as the top team of Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan defeated Felipe Duarte Rico and Jack Hibbard by an 8-6 score, while the number-two tandem of Billy Louiselle and Wyatt Metzger topped Pako Alevizopoulos and Omar Santiagonunez, 8-4. The third doubles squad of Alex Bertolini and Will Sultan were victorious over Miller Buckholz and Ryan Simon by an 8-6 count.
In singles play, Frauenheim was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Hibbard at the number one spot with Metzger taking a 6-4, 6-1 win over Alevizopoulos at number two. At third singles, McClanahan beat Duarte Rico by a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-6) score with Bertolini defeating Santiagonunez 6-3, 6-3 at the fourth position. Louiselle was a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) winner over Buckholz at fifth singles and Sultan topped Ryan Simon at sixth singles 6-3, 6-0.
DePauw travels to Wabash on Wednesday, April 17, for a 5 p.m. match.
