ITA Recognizes Two Tigers for Academic Excellence

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw rising seniors Chris Bertolini (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) and Eric Vannatta (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as they were among 394 Division III men's tennis student-athletes named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Bertolini, an economics major, posted a 7-5 singles record this year and a 1-3 mark in doubles. Also an economics major, Vannatta was 14-7 in doubles action, primarily playing in the number two spot and earned second team all-North Coast Athletic Conference honors.

To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 grade point average for the year and have been enrolled at their current school for at least two semesters. This marks the fourth time in the last five years that DePauw individuals have been recognized.

The Tigers finished the 2013-14 season with a 15-7 record and placed second at the NCAC tournmament.
