11th-ranked DePauw falls in NCAA quarterfinals; Webeler begins singles play on Saturday

May 17, 2006, Fredericksburg, Va. - DePauw's season came to an end in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals after the 11th-ranked Tigers lost to second-ranked Emory by a 4-0 score.

Emory won the doubles point with wins at number one and number three and then clinched the match with singles victories at the number two, three and five slots.

The Tigers finished the season at 21-7, while Emory improved to 21-3 with the win and advanced to the Division III semifinals.

DePauw's Evan Webeler will compete in the Division III Singles Championship which begins May 20.
