DePauw in Third after Two Days of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio - Two DePauw relays finished with all-conference swims and the Tigers are in third place after two days of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. DePauw has totaled 412.5 points with Denison leading with 651.5 and Kenyon in second with 622.5.

The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Aidan Schurig, Kurt Swieter, Sam Wagner and Sam McManus finished third in 1:22.78 to earn all-NCAC accolades.

In the 500 free, Adam Pircon placed 10th (4:36.68), with Kurt Swieter 12th (4:37.19/4:36.88 prelims).

Mitchell Davis was sixth in the 200 individual medley (1:54.15/1:53.87 prelim) followed by Alex Murlin in 11th (1:55.78), Josh McCown in 15th (1:56.92) and Zach Johns in 18th (1:59.60).

Schurig was also sixth in the 50 free (20.96), with Wagner placing 12th (21.11) and McManus 14th (21.26/21.17 prelims). 

DePauw's 400 medley relay of Pircon, McManus, Ian Longan and Swieter also earned all-NCAC by finishing third (3:22.44).

Competition resumes Friday morning at 10 a.m. with prelims.
