DePauw Tops Rose-Hulman to Move to 3-2

Greencastle, Ind. - Kurt Swieter won three individual events, while Sam McManus and Luke Thompson each picked up a pair as 24th-ranked DePauw defeated Rose-Hulman, 163-135. 

Swieter's wins came in the 100-yard freestyle (47.15), the 200 free (1:46.55) and the 500 free ((4:55.50).

McManus won both breaststroke events including the 100 (58.56) and the 200 (2:10.87), while Thompson touched first in the 200 backstroke (1:58.85) and the 200 individual medley (1:59.98).

Also earning firsts were Sam Wagner in the 50 free (21.78), Charlie Stewart-Bates in the 1,650 free (16:52.50) and Eric Addy on the one-meter board with 260.11 points.

The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Ryan Smith, McManus, Ian Longan and Aidan Schurig was second in (1:37.53), while the 400 free relay of McManus, Swieter, Will Serf and Wagner won in 3:09.55.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, January 20, with a 1 p.m. meet against Franklin at Franklin High School.
