Sholtis and Davis Earn "B" Cut in Second Day at Kenyon

Gambier, Ohio - On the second day of competition at the Total Performance Sports Camps Invitational, Brandon Sholtis and Mtichell Davis each made NCAA "B" cuts in leading the Tigers.

With one day remaining, DePauw is in sixth with 353.5 points. University of Pennsylvania leads with 1,517 followed by Kenyon (1,030), Johns Hopkins (732), Carnegie Mellon (637.5) and Davidson (496).

Sholtis notched an NCAA "B" cut in the 50-yard freestyle prelims in 20.52 seconds before finishing sixth in the finals in 20.74 seconds. Aidan Schurig was 16th in 21.09 and Sam McManus 18th in 21.16.

Mitchell Davis also earned a "B" cut in the 100 breaststroke after finishing 15th in 56.23 seconds. Micah Rhodes was 30th in the event in 1:00.71 after swimming a 59.94 in the prelims.

In the 200 free, Kurt Swieter was .03 seconds off a "B" cut in the prelims with a 1:40.48 finish before placing 10th in the finals in 1:41.27. Adam Pircon was 22nd in 1:42.47.

Zach Johns was DePauw's top finisher in the 200 butterfly after placing 20th in 1:58.72 following a 1:57.16 in the prelims.

DePauw's 200 free relay of Sholtis, Schurig, McManus and Swieter was fourth in 1:23.53, while the 800 free relay of Marcus Carter-Buckman, McManus, Pircon and Mark Gullickson finished 10th in 3:26.10.

Eric Addy posted a second-place performance in three-meter diving after totaling 437.65 points in the finals following 423.05 in the prelims.

Saturday's final day of competition begins with prelims at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
