
Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw picked up firsts in four events and totaled 702.5 points to easily win the Indiana Division III Swimming and Diving Invitational. Rose-Hulman was second with 586 and Wabash third with 449.5.
Kurt Swieter was a double-winner in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.75) and the 500 free (4:51.97). Also picking up a first was Mitchell Davis in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.21).
Davis was also second in the 200 individual medley (2:02.24) as was Aidan Schurig in the 50 free (22.06) and Adam Pircon in the 500 free (4:53.24).
Pircon added a third-place in the 200 free (1:47.34), while Brandon Sholtis was also third in the 50 free (22.11) along with Sam McManus in the 100 free (48.43) and Charlie Stewart-Bates in the 500 free (4:55.60).
Eric Addy was second in one-meter diving (233.6 pts) and third on the three-meter board (192.40).
The Tigers' 200 free relay of Ryan Smith, Schurig, McManus and Sholtis won in 1:28.25. DePauw's 200 medley relay of Eli Anderson, Davis, Smith and Sholtis was second in 1:37.42 as was the 400 free relay of Stewart-Bates, Sam Wagner, McManus and Swieter in 3:13.88.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 22, at the Indiana Intercollegiates at Purdue.
