Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw University men's soccer team had three players named to the 2019 All-NCAC men's soccer selections.
Senior forward Jay Klein was one of three conference players to make their All-NCAC debut on the 2019 first team. Klein leads not only DePauw but also the entire NCAC in goals and points, with 11 and 25 respectively. His performance this year was the best in his four-year career tallying three assists, three game-winners and finishing the season with a shot on goal percentage of .659.
Rounding out the All-NCAC selections were two honorable mentions for DePauw, senior defender Jake Brady, and junior goalkeeper Dylan Ruzbasan. Playing a crucial role on the Tiger's defensive line, Jake Brady also impacted DePauw's offense with five assists for the season.
Brady's assist total was the second-highest on the team and put him in the top five in the NCAC.
In goal, Dylan Ruzbasan had some spectacular saves that kept some of the Tiger's toughest competition at bay. Ruzbasan finished top ten in the NCAC for total saves (53) and goals-against average (1.48). After two seasons with DePauw, Ruzbasan has a total of 60 saves, a save percentage of .674 and a win-loss record of 12-7.
The Tigers finished the season 10-7-1 overall, and 4-4-1 in the NCAC. Despite not getting into postseason play DePauw recorded 40 goals off of 35 assists, which placed the Tigers just under the 2019 regular-season and Tournament champions Kenyon.
