First-Half Goal Holds Up for Little Giants in Win over DePauw

Crawfordsville, Ind. - A Wabash goal late in the first half gave the host Little Giants a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 10-4-3 overall and 3-3-2 in the NCAC, while Wabash improved to 12-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in league play.

Joseph Kaefer's second goal of the season for the Little Giants at 39:43 was the difference in the game. DePauw outshot Wabash, 7-6, and each team had two shots on goal. DePauw also held a 5-4 edge in corners with Wabash totaling 12 fouls to the Tigers' 11.

Austin Bodner recorded one save in goal for DePauw with Chad Wunderlich stopping one DePauw shot in the shutout. Wabash also recorded a team save after a Little Giant defender cleared Jack Schrepferman's first-half shot.

DePauw wraps up NCAC regular season play on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game at Oberlin.
