Greencastle, Ind. - Parker James delivered his first goal of the season and it was enough for the Tigers in a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Allegheny. DePauw moved to 9-2-3 overall and 2-1-2 in the NCAC, while the Gators dropped to 5-8-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.
James scored, unassisted, with 18:09 left in the first half to provide the winning margin.
DePauw outshot Allegheny, 11-5, and held a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. The Gators led in corners, 5-4 and had eight fouls to DePauw's five.
The Tigers' Austin Bodner stopped three Allegheny shots for his eighth shutout of the season, while Nick Ferreira had five saves for Allegheny.
DePauw hosts Wittenberg at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17.
