Kramer's Golden Goal Gives Tigers Win in Season Opener

Greencastle, Ind. - Sam Kramer took a pass from Jay Klein and sent home the game-winning goal from beyond the top of the box as DePauw opened the 2018 season with a 1-0 overtime win over Hanover at Reavis Stadium. 

Kramer slid the ball through the left side of the goal with 1:50 left in the first overtime to give the Tigers their first golden-goal win since 2015.

DePauw outshot Hanover, 8-7, including 5-3 on goal. 

Austin Bodner recorded the shutout for DePauw with three saves, while Will Bedel totaled four stops for the Panthers. 

DePauw totaled seven corners to Hanover's four and the Tigers finished with nine fouls with the Panthers committing eight.

The Tigers travel to Anderson on Tuesday, September 4, for a 4 p.m. contest.
