Greencastle, Ind. -- Defense was king Saturday as the DePauw men's soccer team and Case Western Reserve played to a 0-0 tie in DePauw's home opener.
DePauw keeper Ben Davis has now not allowed a goal in his first two games, going the full 110 minutes in this one while recording five saves.
Case kept the offensive pressure on DePauw throughout as they outshot the Tigers 21-7 and won the corner advantage 10-3. Case also committed 18 fouls to DePauw's eight.
Both teams move to 1-0-1 on the year.
Next, the Tigers will travel to WashU on Sept. 8. Both DePauw and WashU received votes in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
