Delaware, Ohio -- With the North Coast Athletic Conference schedule winding down, the DePauw men's soccer team took a big 1-0 win against Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday.
Sophomore defender Andrew Gold headed the game's only goal at the 60:24 mark off a free kick assist by E.J. Moore. It was Gold's second goal of the season – his first since game number one against Hanover.
The Battling Bishops outshot DePauw 21-17, but DePauw had more opportunities at the corner at 10-6. Harrison Glover made five saves in the win.
It was DePauw's third straight conference win as they improve to 9-3-2 overall and 4-2 in the NCAC. The loss was Ohio Wesleyan's first in NCAC play as they drop to 8-3-3 overall and 3-1-2 in conference. This was also DePauw's first win at Ohio Wesleyan since 2012.
The Tigers return home Saturday to face Denison.
