DePauw Defeats Wabash in Home Finale

Greencastle, Ind. - In the season's final game at Reavis Stadium, DePauw defeated Wabash by a 15-7 score to move to 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Little Giants dropped to 5-11 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

DePauw needed just 34 seconds before Nate Greenberg gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Wabash's Joseph Plencer evened the score just 2:19 later, but DePauw scored three straight on the way to a 5-2 lead after one quarter. The Tigers outscored the Little Giants, 7-2, in the second to take a 12-3 halftime advantage and Wabash was no closer than seven the rest of the way.

Nate Greenberg and Will Roberts each scored four goals for the Tigers, while Quinn Roddy added three. Tyler McCoy paced DePauw with two assists. Plencer and Collin Brennan each scored twice for Wabash.

Charlie Robson recorded one save in the opening quarter, while Patrick Lawton totaled six stops in the last three quarters.

DePauw won 18 of the 24 faceoffs with Joe Garvey winning 17 of 22 and leading the Tigers with 14 ground balls. Donny Bleifuss caused a team-high three turnovers. Evan Schiefelbein led with six ground balls and Aarom Elsing caused three turnovers.

The Tigers held a 52-32 edge in shots and collected 39 ground balls to Wabash's 25.

DePauw travels to Hiram on Saturday for a 1 p.m. NCAC contest.
