Gambier, Ohio - DePauw was within two goals late in the first half, but Kenyon scored with 17 seconds left in the half and outscored the Tigers, 4-1, in the third on the way to a 15-9 North Coast Athletic Conference win. DePauw dropped to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the NCAC, while Kenyon moved to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
Jack Richey gave DePauw a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the contest and the game was later tied at 2-2 before Kenyon scored four straight to close the opening quarter with a 6-2 advantage. DePauw outscored the Lords, 4-3, in the second and trailed at halftime by a 9-6 count.
Kenyon extended the lead to six after three and the Tigers got no closer than five the rest of the way.
Richey, Nate Greenberg and Patrick Durnien each scored two for DePauw, while Matt Pollack paced Kenyon with four goals. DePauw's Luke Ruiz-Funes recorded five saves and Charlie Robson one with Kenyon's David Metzger stopping 18 DePauw shots.
DePauw won 15 of the 27 faceoffs as Joe Garvey was 15-25. DePauw also held an edge in ground balls, 38-30, and shots, 51-32.
DePauw travels to Wittenberg on Wednesday, April 17, for a 4 p.m. contest.
