Delaware, Ohio - Ohio Wesleyan, ranked seventh and ninth in the latest NCAA Division III polls, held DePauw to a season-low equaling two goals and topped the Tigers, 20-2. The Tigers dropped to 7-9 overall and 4-3 in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops improved to 13-2 overall and 7-0 in the conference.
Ben Sherman and Nate Greenberg each scored for the Tigers, while Max Tennant paced the Bishops with seven goals and Steven Hildebrand added four. Charlie Robson stopped 21 shots for the Tigers and four different Ohio Wesleyan goalies totaled three saves.
The Bishops held a 57-15 edge in shots including 41-5 in shots of goal. Ohio Wesleyan also held a 37-10 advantage in ground balls. Trent Schulte led the hosts with six, while Donny Bleifuss, Benjamin and Sam Herron each had two for DePauw.
Ohio Wesleyan won 18 of the 25 faceoffs and committed 16 turnovers to the Tigers' 23.
