Greencastle, Ind. - Ohio Wesleyan opened the game with three goals in the opening three minutes and handed DePauw a 21-5 North Coast Athletic Conference defeat. The Tigers dropped to 7-6 overall and 2-4 in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops moved to 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the NCAC.
Ohio Wesleyan scored the game's first four goals before DePauw stopped the run on Austin MacDonald's goal, but the Battling Bishops closed the quarter with six straight scores and opened the second with four goals on the way to a 15-2 halftime lead.
Max Tennant paced Ohio Wesleyan with four goals as 15 different players scored. Xander Pacilio had two saves as one of for goalies in the contest.
Ohio Wesleyan outshot the Tigers, 69-22 and held a 44-27 edge in ground balls while committing 11 turnovers to DePauw's 25.
Max Jaffe and Justin Smith each collected five ground balls for the Battling Bishops.
DePauw wraps up the season on Saturday, April 22, with a 1 p.m. game at Oberlin.
