Tigers Win Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic; Esteban and Genenbacher Share Individual Lead

Clayton, Ind. - DePauw shot a two-round 587 (278-309) and won the Dan Quayle Collegiate Golf Classic by two strokes over Earlham at Deer Creek Golf Club.

The Tigers' team was paced by Jason Miller who tied for fourth with a 145 (71-74) followed by Mason Meadows (67-80) and Danny Paris (73-74) in a tie for sixth at 147. Nick Burris followed with a 148 (67-81) and Caleb Bopp rounded out the lineup with a 156 (74-82).

Nine Tigers competed as individuals led by 143s from Luis Esteban (72-71) and Lake Genenbacher (73-70). Esteban was the medalist based on a scorecard tiebreaker.

Kinder Jones shot a 147 (73-74), followed by Jacob Kelber (75-75) and Grant Germano (74-76) with a 150 each, Wyatt Harris at 153 (75-78), Marcus Tan with a 154 (75-79), Drew Hudgins at 160 (77-83) and Jake McCloskey with a 161 (79-82).

DePauw wraps up the fall season on Oct. 5-6 at the Wabash College Golf Classic.
