Sophomore Nick Burris was recently named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.
Individually, Burris finished fourth overall of 29 golfers as he led the Tigers to the team title at the Franklin Spring Invitational last weekend at the par-70 6,611-yard Donald Ross Course in French Link, Ind.
Burris shot a 36-hole score of 152 and tied the tournament's best 18-hole round with a two-over par 72 on Saturday. The team topped the standings with 616 strokes after carding a 304 on Saturday and a 312 on Sunday.
It was Burris' best finish this season. Through 13 rounds he is averaging a 75.46 score.
The Tigers return to action March 23 when they head to Jacksonville, N.C. for three rounds at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship.
