Granville, Ohio - DePauw moved to 9-5 overall and 3-4 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 57-47 win at Denison. The Big Red dropped to 5-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
DePauw closed the first half on a 7-2 run and opened the second with five straight from Nick Felke to take a 29-15 lead. Later in the half, the Big Red closed the gap to 40-35, but the Tigers pulled away with nine straight including the first five from Matt Mahlke to push the margin back to 14.
Felke paced DePauw with 13 points and eight rebounds with Nolan Ginther adding 10 points. Matt Gerics led Denison with 12 points and Matt Doyle followed with 10.
DePauw shot 44.2 percent for the game to Denison's 38.0 percent and the Tigers held a 34-29 edge on the boards.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, January 12, when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
