Oberlin, Ohio – The Tigers have not lost since the calendar year turned to 2018, and they continued that streak Saturday with an 82-50 win over Oberlin.
It was DePauw's fourth straight win and third in North Coast Athletic Conference. They are now 7-8 overall and 3-5 in the NCAC. Oberlin sits at 7-8 and 1-7 in the conference.
An early 8-0 run broke a 7-7 tie and gave DePauw a 15-7 lead. DePauw then responded from a 3-pointer from Oberlin with a 9-0 run, which ended with a pair of 3-pointers from Vogel.
By halftime, the Tigers led 46-28. They led by as many as 34 with just over three minutes remaining in the game.
DePauw shot 44 percent (30-of-68) from the floor and 42 percent (11-of-26) from 3-point range. They also were 79 percent (11-of-14) from the foul line.
Their counterparts shot 35 percent (18-of-52) from the floor, 21 percent (3-of-14) from 3 and 55 percent (11-of-20) from the charity stripe.
DePauw outrebounded Oberlin 42-38. The Tigers committed just four turnovers and scored 22 points off Oberlin's 14 turnovers. They outscored the Yeomen in the paint 34-24, on second chance opportunities 13-8 and off the bench 42-19.
DePauw returns home 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to host Wabash (7-8, 3-5).
