Greencastle, Ind.- DePauw University field hockey player Kate Milner (St. Louis, Mo./ John Burroughs School) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Field Hockey Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, for her efforts in last week's win over Earlham College.
Milner scored two goals in the Tigers' match against the Quakers. The first goal came in the second quarter following a corner penalty and a pass from Maddie DeAscentis, cutting Earlham's lead to just one.
Her second goal was in the 47th-minute of play in the fourth quarter. With the game tied at two goals apiece, DePauw managed to rush and crowded the Quakers' striking circle passing the ball around the circle. Kelsey Doerr found Milner, who would tally her 16th goal of the season, and seventh game-winning goal this year.
With last week's win, the Tigers clinched a spot in tournament play, and on Wednesday, Nov. 6, DePauw faces No. 1 seeded Denison, with a game-time set for 3:00 p.m.
