Wooster's Three Second-Half Goals Sends DePauw to Defeat

Wooster, Ohio - Host Wooster scored a pair of goals in the opening 25 minutes of the second half and held on for a 4-2 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 8-8 overall and 5-6 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots improved to 11-5 overall and 7-4 in conference play.

Wooster's Caitlyn O'Connor gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at 18:10 on an assist from Katie Agatucci before DePauw's Kate Milner evened the score at 29:21 on Cathy Zesiger's assist.

The game remained tied until Wooster's Harriet Sudduth found the back of the cage with an assist from Maeven Barry at 41:58. O'Connor made it 4-2 at 60:55 before Milner scored with 9:38 left on Gretchen Bechthold's assist to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Fighting Scots tacked on the final score with nine seconds remaining as Sydney Schuster scored on Sammi Pavlecic's assist.

Wooster outshot DePauw, 20-11, including 11-7 on goal. The Fighting Scots had an 11-7 edge in penalty corners. 

Allie Duranceau recorded six saves in goal for DePauw, while Katie Shideler had four stops for Wooster.

DePauw travels to Oberlin tomorrow for a Noon NCAC contest.
