Kenyon Tops Tigers in Overtime

Gambier, Ohio - DePauw forced overtime with a late second-half goal, but host Kenyon delivered the game winner early in the first overtime. The Ladies improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while the Tigers are 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Cathy Zesiger gave DePauw a 1-0 lead on an assist from Rose Revolinski just 7:22 into the contest before Emma Hyer tied the game with an unassisted score for the hosts with 5:49 left in the half.

Kenyon's Sarah Metzmaier made it 2-1 with an assist from Hannah Sklar at 66:22, but Kate Milner countered just 1:31 later to even the count at 2-2.

Claire McGinnis connected on the winning score 2:52 into the first overtime.

Kenyon outshot DePauw, 23-6, and 10-4 in shots on goal. The Ladies also held a 7-4 edge in corners.

Hannah Metzger totaled seven saves in goal for the Tigers, while Suzy Deems and Maddie Lickyer had one each for the hosts.

DePauw travels to Ohio Wesleyan for a Noon NCAC contest tomorrow.
