Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw came back from a 1-0 deficit against visiting Denison, but the Big Red responded with two scores in the final eight minutes to take a 3-1 North Coast Athletic Conference win over the Tigers. DePauw dropped to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC, while Denison improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
After a scoreless opening half, Lucy Pearsall put Denison on the board with an unassisted goal with 28:31 left before DePauw's Kate Milner evened the count on an assist from Cathy Zesiger with 10:11 remaining.
Pearsall struck again just 2:43 later off of a penalty corner with Kat Swan assisting. Charlotte Happel rounded out the scoring with time expired off of Swan's corner.
Denison outshot DePauw, 12-4, including 6-2 in shots on goal. The Big Red also held a 10-4 edge in corners.
DePauw's Sarah Foye recorded three saves in the cage, while Teya Adams posted one save for the Big Red.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 8, when they travel to Centre for a Noon contest.
