Tigers lose to Lynx in strokes

October 8, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - After 100 minutes of scoreless play, Rhodes claimed a 1-0 victory in penalty strokes after outscoring DePauw 2-1 in the strokeoff.


DePauw dropped to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, while Rhodes improved to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference.


O'Brien Wolff and Jenny Mueller scored in the strokeoff for Rhodes, while Sarah Riffle scored for the Tigers.


DePauw outshot Rhodes 33-7 including 10-0 in the second overtime and also held a 19-4 edge in corners.


Kaitline Thomure recorded eight saves for the Tigers, while Julz Anderson had 23 for Rhodes.
